Study on training experience and vicarious trauma of child counselors

Abstract
This study aims to investigate differences in vicarious trauma pursuant to supervision experience and self-analysis experience of child counselors. According to research results, first, child counselors were found to be more negative in the reliability level of the vicarious trauma experience according to supervision experience, supervision period, and number of supervision Second, counselors without self-analysis showed higher intimacy zone in vicarious trauma experience and therefore, it appeared they entered into reduced interpersonal relations. Child counselors perceived the most negative self-esteem in vicarious trauma experience if their self-analysis period was less than 2 years. Also, the less the number of counselors` self-analysis was, the more they perceived negative reliability in vicarious trauma. Third, there was a difference in vicarious trauma according to analyst`s theatment approach in self-analysis.
